Legalization of Documents

Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dublin

Legalisation of Documents

The Consular Office is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 09.30-13.00 hrs.

Non-Commercial Documents:

It costs €54.00 per page for non-commercial documents (documents which are not related to an invoice value).  Standard turnaround time is one week, and a 25% surcharge applies if same-day legalisation is required.

Most documents must first be stamped by a Chamber of Commerce or by the Dept. of Foreign Affairs & Trade before being submitted to the Embassy.  In effect the Embassy certifies the stamp issued by the Chamber of Commerce of the Dept. of Foreign Affairs and Trade, so it is only necessary for us to legalise each page that has been stamped by them.

Commercial Documents:

Documents pertaining to shipments of goods must first be stamped by the Chamber of Commerce or the Dept. of Foreign Affairs & Trade before being received by the Embassy.  (Normally the invoice, certificate of origin and health certificate has to be legalised for each shipment.)   The legalisation cost for each page is based on the overall invoice value, as per the following table.  A25% surcharge applies if same-day legalisation is required.
