فناوری اطلاعات و ارتباطات

امروزه فنآوری اطلاعات IT  و فنآوری اطلاعات و ارتباطات ICT نقش مهمی در زندگی بشری ایفا می نمایند و نقش و اهمیت آنها در پیشبرد و ارتقاء علوم و صنایع مختلف بسیار حائز اهمیت می باشد.

فناوری اطلاعات و ارتباطات عبارتی کلی در برگیرنده تمام فناوری های پیشرفته، نحوه ارتباط و انتقال داده ها در سامانه های ارتباطی است. این سامانه می تواند یک شبکه مخابراتی، چندین کامپیوتر مرتبط با هم و متصل به شبکه مخابراتی، اینترنت و همچنین برنامه های استفاده شده در آنها باشد.

فناوری  اطلاعات  و ارتباطات، بدون شک تحولات گسترده ای را در تمامی عرصه های اجتماعی و اقتصادی بشریت به دنبال داشته و تاثیر آن بر جوامع بشری بگونه ای است که جهان امروز به سرعت در حال تبدیل شدن به یک جامعه اطلاعاتی است. جامعه ای که در آن دانایی و میزان دسترسی و استفاده مفید از دانش، دارای نقشی محوری و تعیین کننده است. گستردگی کاربرد و تاثیرات آن در ابعاد مختلف زندگی امروزی و آینده جوامع بشری به یکی از مهمترین مباحث روز جهان مبدل شده و توجه بسیاری از کشورهای جهان را به خود معطوف کرده و  مهمترین ویژگی فن آوری اطلاعات و ارتباطات ، نحوه ذخیره سازی ، پردازش و دستیابی به اطلاعات است.

 در خصوص  صنعت کامپیوتر به ایرلند باید گفت: ورود این صنعت به اواخر دهه شصت میلادی بازگشته و مجمع کامپیوتر ایرلند ) ICS ( با هدف تقویت و ترویج مهارت های کامپیوتر و تقویت و گسترش اطلاعات، در سال 7691 تاسیس گردیده و هم اکنون این مجمع عضو شورای متخصصین انفورماتیک اروپا ) CEPIS ( می باشد. این مجمع در سال 7661 مجوز استفاده و بهره برداری از کامپیوتر اروپا را ) European Computer Driving Licence ( را بنیاد نهاد.

در حال حاضر ایرلند دومین صادر کننده کامپیوتر و ارائه کننده خدمات IT در جهان بوده  و 8 شرکت از ده کمپانی برتر و بزرگ جهان )در خصوص کامپیوتر و فنآوری اطلاعات و ارتباطات( در ایرلند شعبه و دفتر اختصاصی دارند. در این زمینه می توان به حضور شرکتهایی نظیر Intel, HP, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Amazon,  IBM, Microsoft and ApplePayPal, eBay اشاره نمود بنحویکه امروزه ایرلند پایتخت اینترنت اروپا لقب گرفته است. 

شهرت ایرلند در زمینه خلاقیت و صنعت ارتباطات موجب تشویق کمپانیهای بزرگ و فعال در زمینه بازیهای کامپیوتری نظیر Big Fish, EA, Havok, DemonWare, PopCap, Zynga, Riot Games and Jolt در ایرلند گردیده و در حال حاضر شهر دوبلین در این زمینه سرآمد شهرهای اروپایی در این خصوص می باشد. طبق برآوردهای انجام شده میزان صادرات این بخش بالغ بر 05 میلیارد یورو در سال بوده که بنوبه خود بسیار حائز اهمیت می باشد.
