The Celebration of Irans National Day at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dublin

The 46th anniversary of victory of Islamic Revolution of Iran in Dublin

 and Iran's National Day was held on the evening of February 8 at the residence of the Ambassador in Dublin, with the presence of officials, ambassadors, diplomats, members of the Iranian community, as well as scientific, cultural, and academic figures.

 

At the event Dr. Saeed Khalouzadeh, the chargé d'affaires of the embassy, opened the event with a speech highlighting some of Iran's achievements over the past 46 years in various fields such as healthcare, women's and family issues, modern technologies, security, and defense. He also addressed Iran's positions on various foreign policy issues, particularly the issue of Palestine and bilateral relations with Ireland.

 

In his remarks, he emphasized the main objectives of Iran's foreign policy, which include safeguarding national interests and security, expanding balanced relations with all nations based on dialogue, equality, and mutual respect, respecting sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries, and promoting economic diplomacy. He expressed hope that with the presentation of the credentials of Ireland's ambassador to Dr. Pezeshkian in Tehran, bilateral relations between the two countries would be further strengthened.

 

Dr. Khalouzadeh  was delighted to welcome Professor Diarmuid Hegarty, President of Griffith College in Ireland, as our guest speaker, and to announce the exciting partnership between Griffith College and  Ferdowsi University in Mashhad.

 

Professor Hegarty highlighted the remarkable advancements in nanotechnology and the enthusiasm of the students, emphasizing how this collaboration will benefit both Griffith College and Ireland.
