Masoud Eslami, is a professor of international law and relations at the Graduate School of International Relations in Tehran. He has received M.A.L.D. and Ph.D. degrees in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in the United States with concentration on public international law and international organizations. He also holds a Master’s degree in political science and Islamic studies from Imam Sadegh University in Tehran. He has also received a LL.M. degree from Yale University Law School.
Ambassador Eslami has served as the Rector of the School of International Relations and Diplomatic Academy of Iran for five years. He has been the Director-General for Legal Affairs in Iranian Ministry of Petroleum for five years and the Director-General for Americas in Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has also been advisor to Ministers of Foreign Affairs on issues of international law and relations for many years. In his capacity as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he has also served as the Deputy Secretary-General in inter-governmental organizations such as AALCO and inter-parliamentary organizations like APA.
