Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Response to the Interventionist Statement of the G7 Countries

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the interventionist statement of the G7 countries regarding Iran’s internal affairs and considers it as a clear evidence of the fraudulent approach of the member countries of this group with the leadership of the United States on the issue of human rights.

The G7 countries, under the influence of the US and the Zionist regime, are consciously ignoring the obvious fact that the peaceful gatherings of the Iranian people were turned into violence by the organized move of terrorist agents equipped by the Zionist regime during the days of 8-10 January 2026, during which a large number of protesters and law enforcement and security forces were attacked، injured or lost their life.

The clear statements and words by the current and former US officials, as well as those of the Zionist regime, inciting violence and terrorism, along with the solid documents and evidences collected by security authorities, indicate the direct role of the Israeli regime in equipping and organizing armed terrorists and the US support for them.

While emphasizing its legal, moral, and human commitment to protecting the fundamental rights of the people in accordance with the Constitution, including the right to peaceful protest, the Islamic Republic of Iran will fulfill its responsibility to the fullest extent of its ability to protect the security of its citizens and public order against terrorism pushed from abroad, as well as to defend Iran's national sovereignty and territorial integrity against any foreign threat or aggression.

The G7 member states, each with a shameful record of gross human rights violations in their own countries and in the West Asian region, followed by their total support for the Zionist regime or their inaction and indifference to its crimes, are considered direct accomplices of the Israeli regime in the genocide and colonial annihilation of the Palestinian people. They lack any credibility and moral standing to judge others and make human rights claims against other nations.

Without a doubt, the collective memory of the Iranian nation will never forget the support of the authorities of the United States, Germany, England, Canada, and some other G7 member states for the Zionist regime’s military aggression against Iran and the killing of hundreds of Iranians in Summer of 2025.

Instead of issuing deceptive and interventionist statements, the G7 member states should stop their illegal interfering in Iran’s internal affairs, end the cruel and illegitimate sanctions against the Iranian nation, and refrain from abusing the lofty concepts of human rights as a cover for their mal intention interfering in Iran’s internal affairs، encouraging violence and terrorism.
